I am an independent paediatric Speech & Language Therapist with experience working with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. Following completion of a BSc (First Class Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy from Strathclyde University, Glasgow (2006), I obtained an MSc with Distinction in Speech and Cleft from the University of Sheffield (2012). I have worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community clinics, schools, nurseries and homes. Since qualifying, I have undertaken further training in various areas, including Makaton, selective mutism and autism. I regularly attend conferences, seminars and online training in order to continuously update my knowledge and skills in various areas relating to speech and language therapy. I am also an independent Elklan Registered Tutor, licenced to deliver communication training to nursery and school staff. I volunteer with the wonderful charity, Homestart, offering support and advice to local families and children with speech, language and communication needs.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
